What we do...

We are lifting children from poverty and a childhood of labor by providing them with everything they need to attend school:  Tuition, school uniforms, supplies, backpacks, and transportation.   And because a child cannot learn on an empty stomach, we provide daily nutritious meals and snacks as well as a safe environment for them to learn and play.  We try to fill the gaps in the Malagasy school system by providing computers, tutoring in computer literacy, French and after school help with studies and we have a small library where we encourage reading.   We teach and train our children in good hygiene, healthy cooking and nutrition as well as recycling and agricultural methods.   Access to medical care is mostly nonexistent for these children, so we register each child in our program at a local hospital where they can receive any necessary care and “Changes for Madagascar” guarantees payment.  Our goal is to ensure each child’s success in tangible ways to promote student retention and seeing each child through to graduation and beyond.  An important part of our program is Bible study and modeling the character and love of Jesus Christ...it's the motivation behind what we do! "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us!" 2 Cor. 5:20
